- Casino Night at Lake Martin Brewing (Taking place every Wednesday @ 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm) Enjoy Casino Night at Lake Martin Brewing! On Thursdays, enjoy rounds of Black Jack, Roulette, and Craps. All proceeds benefit Main Street Alexander City.
- Boating Safety Course (April 13 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm) Alabama Marine Police will conduct a Boating Safety course at The Ridge Marina, April 13 from 9AM to 3PM, to help all boaters, first timers, and veterans alike. Hosted by Russell Marine, this course is NASBLA and Alabama Boating Safety certified.
- Clay Evans at The Destination (April 13 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm) Enjoy singer/songwriter Clay Evans at The Destination! Clay came to Nashville, but not to make Country music. With hints of the blues, soul, jazz, pop, and just a little country, he has crafted a sound all his own! Coming all the way from Kentucky for his first show on Southwind Stage, don’t miss Clay Evans!
- Webster’s Wheel LIVE at Zazu’s Verandah (April 18 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) Webster’s Wheel performs LIVE at Zazu’s Verandah! Zazu’s Verandah will again host free music every Thursday from April 4 – August 22, 2024. …AND we’ll have a Food Truck! We ask that you generously thank and tip the musicians for coming to our great little town. This is a 21+
- In-Water Boat Show (April 19 – April 21) Make plans to attend the Russell Marine In-Water Boat Show at The Ridge Marina on Lake Martin April 19-21, 2024. See and demo 2024 boat models from Godfrey Pontoon boats, Nautique ski and wake boats, Sea Ray, Key West, Chris-Craft, Bass Cat and Sea Ark. Shop our pro shop for gear from Hyperlite, Billabong, Life is Good, Costa Sunglassses, Yeti, Hook & Tackle, Huk and more.
- Naturalist Presentation – Springtime Celebration (April 20 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm) Visit the Naturalist’s Cabin in April and take a close look at what Spring means for the plants and animals that call Russell Forest home.
- Full Pool Party (April 20 @ 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm) Join Momentum Marine at Lake Martin for a Full Pool Party and Open House on Saturday, April 20th! Kick off summer and enjoy live music, free food, giveaways, games, and special pricing on store merchandise.
- Guided Nature Tour (April 20 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm) This hike will focus on the variety of plant and animal life that relies on SHADE to thrive. Sunlight is essential, but some things grow better on the darker side of nature. We will get down low to peer at the living things who rely on a lack of sunlight to thrive. This energetic hike will offer both learning and exercise. Appropriate for anyone ages 5 – 105.
- Secret Sounds LIVE at Zazu’s Verandah (April 25 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) This is a 21+ show.
- Strand Sessions (May 2 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm) The Alexander City Chamber of Commerce presents the first live concert series to hit Strand Park lawn! Enjoy live music and community fellowship every first Thursday from May-August!
- Chasing Shadows LIVE at Zazu’s Verandah (May 2 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) This is a 21+ show.
- Naturalist Presentation – Horsing Around (May 3 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm) Visitors are welcome to bring their own apples, carrots or sugary treats for the horse. Check your pantry for stale cereals or breads – they are a perennial pony favorite!
- Friday on the Green (May 3 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) Friday On The Green is always family friendly, we’ll throw out the games, restock the bags in the Dog Waste Station, pull out the insect repellant and have everything ready for you! Food will be on site from Fanny Goldmine Diner! What a FUN night it will be!
- Naturalist Presentation – Horsing Around (May 4 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm)
- Derby Day at The Stables (May 4 @ 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm) Derby Day at The Stables is the place to be to see all of the ladies (and, quite often, gentlemen) in their colorful hats, while the guys dressed dapper in their sear sucker or other creative attire. Of course, we’ll have music, finger foods and drinks, while we raise money for Children’s Harbor (50/50 split from the winning horse’s bucket). So be sure to bring some cash!
- AWF Lake Martin Chapter Wild Game Cook-Off (May 4 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm) The cook-off will take place on Saturday, May 4 at Russell Marine Boating and Outdoors! Starting at 5 PM, enjoy live music, a silent auction, and delicious food. For more information, please contact AWF Headquarters at (334) 285-4550 or email [email protected]. - Dakota Danielle at The Destination (May 4 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm) Enjoy Dakota Danielle at The Destination! If you saw her at her last show at The Lodge, then you know what a great performer she is! Since then, her career has taking off, showcased with great original songs and many familiar female country hits! Come join her for an evening of first class entertainment on Southwind Stage!
